Bay Shore to host its annual Winter Festival, Small Business Saturday

|

Downtown Bay Shore will be once again play host to the annual old fashioned Winter Festival this month.

The event, run by the Bay Shore Beautification Society, will be held downtown on Saturday, Nov. 24.

From 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a variety of holiday activities at the Main Street Band Shell, such as caroling by Bay Shore High School Harmonaires, visits by Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman characters, and Christmas tree and Menorah lightings, among others.

The festival coincides with the nationwide Small Business Saturday efforts, during which local merchants offer special deals.

“By combining the two events, we are supporting our wonderful downtown businesses,” said Donna Periconi, president of Greater Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce. “The community comes down … and at the same time, they shop and eat in Bay Shore.”
