Bay Shore’s Amanda’s Bakery Co. has recently undergone a change in ownership after founder Amanda Dill made the difficult decision to sell the business.

The announcement, made on the bakery’s Facebook page, expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and excitement for new opportunities.

“I’m sad to see this chapter of my life close, but I’m excited to move on to new adventures and opportunities,” Dill wrote in her announcement.

She acknowledged the bittersweet nature of the announcement and shared that life is about growth, sometimes requiring difficult choices to prioritize one’s well-being. Dill encouraged the community to continue to visit the bakery under its new ownership.

The new owner of the bakery will be Cookie Kneads, who will specialize in custom cookies and more.

The bakery’s last day under Dill’s ownership will be Sunday, April 16.

Dill, a Patchogue native, opened Amanda’s Bakery Co. in 2020 in the former Rolling Pin at 184 W. Main Street, amid the pandemic after months of planning and preparation.

In her Facebook post, Dill thanked the community for their endless support throughout her journey as owner.

“You’ve made this journey one I’ll remember forever,” she wrote.
