Bay Shore native turned show host Joe La Puma is up for again for a Webby Award.
They call it the “Best of the Internet,” where the people vote for the best online-based shows in different categories.
La Puma — the SVP of Content Strategy at Complex Networks — is looking to bring home the hardware for his show “Sneaker Shopping.”
“Sneaker Shopping” features La Puma interviewing A-listers while they are on the search for new kicks. Some of his recent guests include Shaquille O’Neal, Eli Manning and Dennis Rodman.
La Puma’s hit YouTube show is up for a Webby under the Beauty and Fashion category.
And he needs your help. Let’s see if the locals can push it over the top. Click here to vote.
This is his third nomination. He won the Fashion and Beauty category in 2019 and Best Web Personality/ Host in 2020.
“I’m really appreciative to be nominated for a Webby again this year,” he told GreaterBayShore. “It’s a testament to the hard work of so many people who have helped on the show and navigated the challenges of the past two years. I’m really proud of the episodes we’ve filmed since our last Webby, and to have interviewed guests like Shaq, Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, Johnny Knoxville, and Pharrell.”
