Big Laughs Up and Comers comedy show to hit Boulton Center April 5

|

The YMCA Boulton Center has a night filled with laughs planned for April 5.

The downtown performing arts center will be hosting an extension of its Big Laughs Comedy series with an up and coming comedian show. The program will feature 10 comedians from Long Island and New York City, all performing their own acts.

“These are the comics you don’t hear about but work harder and are just as funny as anyone out there,” said the event’s organizer and comedian himself, Tom DeCillis.

Each comedian will have an eight-minute set, with plenty of variety and styles.

“The audience can expect material from clean to edgy, but all very funny,” said DeCillis, of Islip.

Boulton Center’s director Michelle Rizzo-Berg added this show with the hopes to incorporate more of its kind in the near future.

“I was interested in working with up-and-coming comics because we are a great space for comedy,” she said, “and what better place to work on material than a performing arts space.”

The show begins at 8 p.m. To purchase tickets, click here or call the box office at at 866-811-4111.
