This 4/20, Blue Point Brewing Co. promises “the dankest party on the east coast.” And they’re hoping you come with your best buds.
Legendary funk band Lettuce will headline the brewery’s “Shakedown on Main Street” festival, on Wednesday, April 20. Editor’s note: 4/20 refers to cannabis-oriented celebrations that take place annually on April 20.
Prior to the Boston-brewed headliner, the Tom Hamilton Trio will grace the main stage. DJ Kaution will blast music from the Midway side stage, where guests can access the Smoker’s Lounge.
All the crowd-pleasing beers will be ready for purchase in the beer garden. The brewery will also reunite its fans with variations of their year-old Legalize Wheat brew at the Blue Point Terpene Tent. The seasonal 7 percent ABV Hoppy American Wheat Ale is made with a Pineapple Express Terpene blend.
In addition to beer and tunes, party-goers can purchase grilled cheese sandwiches and other munchies from vendors, play pub games, browse vendors, enjoy arts and crafts, and experience an interactive paint wall.
General admission tickets are available through eventbrite for $45. The ticket includes access to the full Shakedown experience, including access to the Terpene Tent and live performances. The event is 21-and-over.
There’s also a “high-roller VIP ticket” available for $104.20. It includes access to a dedicated VIP entrance and the stage-side lounge and brewpub VIP area, unlimited samples of all limited-release terpene beers, an exclusive swag bag, one complimentary grilled cheese and surprise bonuses.
