Neighbor takes ax to parked cars in Brightwaters, report says

A 22-year-old Brightwaters used an ax over the weekend to smash up several parked cars on the street where he lives, according to a report.

Suffolk Police told News 12 Long Island a 911 caller reported a man striking vehicles with an ax on Pine Drive about 1:30 p.m. Officers arrived roughly 10 minutes later and arrested Georgios Stavroulakis, of Pine Drive.

Police say three cars at different addresses along the street were damaged.

Stavroulakis is charged with criminal mischief and is expected to be arraigned at a later date.
