Just six months after debuting in Huntington Station, Bubbakoo’s Burritos has expanded to a second spot on Long Island.
The family-run franchise officially opened its Hicksville location on May 31. The new restaurant is located at 180 W. Old Country Road, next to Smashburger and Jersey Mike’s.
The team — led by Janav Aggarwal and supported by his uncle Ray Aggarwal, cousin Sophie Aggarwal, and partner Hiren Patel — secured the franchise rights for both Long Island and Queens. Patel also owns a successful Bubbakoo’s in Oxford, Connecticut.
This is the second of what could be several more Long Island locations for the fast-casual burrito chain. When the Huntington shop opened in November, the team said they hoped to launch up to 10 locations in the region.
Founded in 2008 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Bubbakoo’s is known for made-to-order burritos, bowls, and tacos — along with a standout menu item called the Chiwawa, a deep-fried cheesy rice ball.
The Hicksville location is slightly smaller than its Huntington counterpart but carries the same bold flavors and customizable offerings that have fueled the brand’s growth to over 130 locations nationwide.
