Basketball superstar Caitlin Clark will headline the Long Island Association’s Fall Luncheon later this month, the association has announced.
Clark, one of the most celebrated figures in modern basketball, will discuss her career, philanthropy and her cultural impact during the Oct. 29 event at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
The WNBA star’s appearance continues the LIA‘s knack for attracting some of the world’s most recognizable names in sports and business.
Festivities will begin with a networking reception at 10:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon and program at 11:30 a.m.
LIA President and CEO Matt Cohen will moderate a conversation with Clark, an Iowa native who recently wrapped up her second season with the Indiana Fever, much of which she spent sidelined by injury.
National sensation

Clark’s selection for the fall luncheon reflects the LIA’s growing reputation for pairing business and community conversation with headline-making guests whose influence reaches far beyond their primary fields.

The Inter Miami CF owner’s appearance garnered wide attention for an event that blended celebrity, inspiration, and Long Island’s business spirit.
Greater Long Island has reached out to Cohen for comment on Clark’s appearance but has not yet heard back. This is an ongoing story. Please check back with Greater Long Island for updates.
