Like the monsters and madmen of spine-chilling horror, the Spooky Walk for Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck in Center Moriches is indestructible.
This year, the Spooky Walk will evolve into the Spooky Walk Haunted Drive-thru to maintain social distancing and deliver a contactless Halloween experience. From inside their cars, guests will encounter haunted exhibits like Club Boogie, Living Hell Hospital and Alice in Zombieland.
Tickets for Oct. 16, 17, 23 and 24 will cost $45. The camp says the tickets will be available for purchase soon.
Since 1989, the Moriches Paquatuck Squaws have organized the Spooky Walk as one of their efforts to raise money for Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, a nonprofit summer sleep-away camp for special needs children.
The Squaws’ efforts are critical, as the camp relies heavily on fundraising and receives no federal funding.
