Celebration of life planned for beloved LI brewmaster

|

The Long Island beer community and beyond are devasted after learning of the passing of local beer-making legend John Fraioli.

“This is one of the hardest posts we ever had to make,” wrote Chris Candiano, owner of DUBCO, a Bay Shore brewery where Fraioli worked. “His legacy and spirit will forever live on through us and the countless others who speak of him and tell all of the stories about how he touched their lives.”

Fraioli, the owner and head brewer at Nevermore Beer Co., died suddenly last week.

To honor him, a celebration of life is planned for Thursday, April 25, at Sand City South in Lindenhurst, from 3-7 p.m.

There will be Nevermore Beer on tap along with his remaining merchandise for sale. Food is being donated by the Lily Flanagan’s Restaurant Group and Dusty’s BBQ and Grill.

“Thank you to everyone involved behind the scenes, you know who you are,” wrote Sand City on Facebook. “We love and miss you immensely, John.”
