In May, Sydney Passaro helped Keiser University capture the women’s lacrosse NAIA national championship.
This week, the Center Moriches alumna was back at her alma mater with the national championship trophy in hand and tales of a storybook freshman season at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, school.
Passaro played attack and starred for the Seahawks in her first collegiate season this spring, scoring 19 goals and tallying 27 points. She earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
She played all 60 minutes of Keiser’s thrilling 13-11 championship victory over the University of the Cumberlands in Savannah, Georgia. Look for Passaro in the highlight video below — she wears No. 17.
With Center Moriches, Passaro was a four-year varsity starter in lacrosse, soccer, basketball and track.
