|

Big Buford is coming back in a big way on Long Island.

The “boss of all burgers,” along with country’s “most craveable fries” are set to renew their love affair with fast foodies across Suffolk County over the coming months, as Checkers opens four new drive-thru restaurants.

The iconic chain already threw the doors open to its new Lake Ronkonkoma location this week. Located at 258-316 Portion Road, the restaurant officially opened on Wednesday.

Hungry locals poured in to enjoy the Big Buford, the Baconzilla and seven other burger varieties. Checkers holds the title of having the Most Craveable Fries in America. The 10th Checkers restaurant opened by franchisees Manjit Singh and Paramjit Josan, the location is scheduled to be open seven days a week.

Checkers will open restaurants in Brentwood, Central Islip and Shirley, a spokesperson for the fast food chain said. The new stores will feature updated store formats, the spokesperson said.

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. operates 836 Checkers and Rally’s restaurants, combined.
