Chick-fil-A announced it is opening in Sayville Plaza on Thursday, March 5.

Moo fans rejoice.

Chick-fil-A announced on Friday that it’s opening its new Bohemia location in Sayville Plaza this Thursday, kicking off the day with a special “Moove-In” party for the community.

The chain said customers are invited to join the festivities on March 5 by showing their cow spirit by wearing a full cow costume or a cow-spotted accessory.

Participants can redeem a free entrée or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or at the drive-thru.

“Chick-fil-A Bohemia is more than a restaurant; it’s a place where neighbors can connect, families can make memories and our team can serve with genuine care,” said Blair Darcy, the owner of Chick-fil-A Bohemia.

“As a local business owner, I’m excited to create a space filled with warmth and hospitality, and to be part of the everyday moments that bring this community together,” she added.

Located at 5163 Sunrise Highway, Chick-fil-A Bohemia will operate Monday through Saturday (it’s closed on Sundays) from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, mobile pick-up, third-party delivery, catering, and the brand’s Mobile Thru service. The location features indoor and outdoor seating and dining area.

The chain said in a statement that the location aim to make a positive local impact by donating $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the Bohemia location.

The funds will be distributed through Long Island Cares, Inc. and Island Harvest, organizations working to fight hunger in the region.

Darcy noted that the restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits; she estimated the new location will create about 125 jobs in the area.

14 Chick-fil-A locations on LI

Long Island now counts 14 Chick-fil-A restaurants, including eight in Suffolk County.

Chick-fil-A Bohemia’s opening in marks another huge win for Sayville Plaza, which temporarily fell on hard times after the closures of Kmart, Sports Authority, Babies “R” Us, Modell’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and other retailers.

When Kmart shut its doors in 2020, the shopping center was left largely empty.

But today, Sayville Plaza is fully rented, featuring the likes Aldi, At Home, Floor & Decor and Bob’s Discount Furniture. Additionally, a Taco Bell is also in the works for the shopping center.
