Attention Ronkonkoma residents, there’s officially a new butcher shop in town.
Chubs Meats & Catering, the popular butcher shop at 2598 Route 112 in Medford, just launched its third location in Ronkonkoma.
The new meat market located at 896 Johnson Ave. held a soft opening Monday and will continue to operate this week, opening 10 a.m. daily.
“This store was something we envisioned and it finally came to life…almost a year in the making,” said owner Ryan Jones in a Facebook announcement. “But, I promise you it will be worth it.”
A little over a year ago, Jones decided to expand the Chubs brand by opening Chubs Burgers, Burritos, and Heroes Co. in Farmingville.
Now, his right-hand man Thomas Snyder is taking charge of the Ronkonkoma store which will sell quality meats, freshly cooked meats, and deli sandwiches just like its sister shop in Medford.
Jones shared in a previous GreaterRonkonkoma report that this new Chubs Meat will have “a couple of surprises” and one unique feature: a dry-aging room for meat.
