Coram shooting leaves 20-year-old hospitalized in targeted attack, cops say

A 20-year-old man was injured Sunday evening in a targeted shooting in Coram, Suffolk County Police said.

The shooting happened about 8:15 p.m., while the victim was standing outside a home on Margaret Drive, police said. An unidentified suspect opened fire, striking the victim.

Officers and emergency personnel responded, and the man was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities confirmed on Monday.
