Crumbl Cookies opens its first Suffolk location in Stony Brook

|

The Crumbl cookie craze has officially arrived in Suffolk County.

The popular dessert chain celebrated the grand opening of its newest Long Island location in Stony Brook on Dec. 19, drawing dozens of customers eager to sample its signature freshly baked cookies.

Located at 2184A Nesconset Highway in the Brooktown Plaza, near the AMC Loews movie theater, the shop is owned and operated by husband-and-wife franchisees Malay and Riddhi Patel.

The Stony Brook outpost marks Crumbl’s sixth location on Long Island, joining existing stores in Port Washington, Merrick, Oceanside, Massapequa and Levittown.

The Patels, who also own the Massapequa location, aren’t stopping there.

They’re already planning to open their third Crumbl franchise in the Shops at SunVet in Holbrook.

“What first drew us to Crumbl was its commitment to quality, creativity and constant innovation,” the Patels said in a joint statement. “With new flavors every week and something delicious for everyone, Crumbl is a place where families can make sweet memories together and friends can gather for a fun, feel-good treat.”

Founded in 2017, Crumbl has grown into a national phenomenon, fueled largely by TikTok and Instagram, where the brand has amassed more than 15 million followers. Each Sunday, Crumbl unveils a rotating lineup of six limited-time “flavor drop” cookies — an event that regularly draws millions of views and, in many places, lines out the door.

This week’s holiday-themed menu includes treats like the Holiday Red Velvet Sandwich Cookie, the Candy Cane Cookie Brownie, and a green sugar “Grinch Who Stole Christmas” cookie.

The selection changes weekly, though the classic Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie — a fan favorite — is always available.

Malay Patel said his personal favorite is the Dubai chocolate brownie cookie, and fans should keep an eye out for its return to the rotating menu.

The Stony Brook Crumbl is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to midnight. The shop is closed on Sundays.
