Dancing Sharks from Long Island University bring home national championship


The dance team at Long Island University captured Open Spirit Program Game Day first-place honors at the College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship held last weekend in Orlando.

The competition took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at The Walt Disney World Resort. Featuring nearly 500 performances from over 200 universities across the country, the event judged dance teams on their choreography, technique, execution and overall effect.
