David Beckham making special Long Island appearance, Oct. 12

|

Soccer legend and global icon David Beckham is set to make a rare Long Island visit on Thursday, Oct. 12.

But you’ll need to get up early and have a lot of patience to score a chance to meet him.

“Becks” will appear at JCPenney at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City from 1-2:30 p.m. However, the line for wristbands for the visit begins at 7 a.m. at JCPenney’s first-level entrance.

Organizers will distribute 400 wristbands, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Beckham, an English superstar and sponsorship prince who now co-owns Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami franchise, will be in town to officially unveil his latest venture, The Collection, an affordable line of three colognes.

Beckham’s appearance comes soon after the release of Netflix’s four-part docuseries, “Beckham.”

The series blends Beckham’s love story with his wife Victoria and his impressive journey through the world of professional soccer, which has solidified his status as one of the sport’s — if not the world’s — most recognizable figures.

With a net worth of over $450 million, Beckham’s influence extends beyond sports into various businesses, from fashion to fragrance. The Collection’s trio of colognes are Infinite Aqua, Aromatic Greens and Refined Woods.

The Roosevelt Field Mall is located at 630 Old Country Road in Garden City.
