A local music festival overlooking Port Jefferson Harbor’s waterfront is happening at the end of this month.
The first-ever Port Palooza — organized by live event producer Kevin Wood and his media company FPS Inc. — will feature local musicians at Harborfront Park on July 31 from 11:50 a.m. to around 8:30 p.m.
The day will feature seven 45-minute sets on the new Jill Nees Russell Stage at the park. The music will be a variety of genres from local artists. Scroll down to see the acts.
This free event is part of the Harborside Concert Series, which co-sponsored outing by the Village of Port Jefferson with additional support by Icon Properties of Port Jefferson and The Space at Port Jefferson.

- 11:50 a.m. Invocation by Jeffrey Sanzel, executive artistic director of Theatre Three
- 12 p.m. Jonathan Fritz, Flamenco guitarist
- 1 p.m. Cole Fortier of Port Jefferson

- 3 p.m. MJT Band
- 4 p.m. School of Rock All Stars of Port Jefferson
- 5 p.m. Common Ground
- 6 p.m. Grand Folk Railroad
- 7:15 p.m. Frank Catalano Jazz Quartet of Chicago
Those who want to attend the festival are encouraged to bring their own food, beverage, and blanket.
Attendees should also consider parking either at the free Barnum lot at Barnum Avenue or the Brookhaven Town lot, which is free to residents with a sticker.
Port Palooza will be accepting donations throughout the day for injured animal rescue and recovery.
