‘Devastated’ Patchogue dad asking for help to find his missing daughter, 14

|

One minute, Frank Gervasi was on the phone with his 14-year-old daughter Emmarae discussing dinner and telling her he was on his way home from work.

The next, the Patchogue man’s daughter had vanished from home.

“She was on the phone with her dad five minutes before this happened asking ‘When are you coming home? I’m hungry, what’s for dinner?” family friend Stephanie Biondi told Greater Long Island. “And then she was gone.”

Suffolk County Police confirmed that Emmarae has been missing since 5 p.m. on Monday. The teen was last seen on Terrell Street in East Patchogue, going into a dark colored Honda, family said.

“Please help find my daughter any info will help,” Frank Gervasi said in a Facebook post, on which he left his cell phone number for people to call with information. “I’m devastated.”

Gervasi told Greater Long Island that he has spent Tuesday searching for his missing child, including reviewing security camera footage from his neighbors’ home and nearby businesses. He said video captured by a neighbors’ security camera shows his daughter getting into a blue car.

Unfortunately, Biondi said, the footage is grainy because it was dark and rainy at the time.

“She has no cell phone and no ID on her,” Biondi said. “It doesn’t seem like it was a planned thing, so that is the scariest part for us.

“She has been very happy. And she’s been excited for the holidays to come,” she added.

‘Please help’

Gervasi asked that anyone with information regarding her disappearance to call the police. He also included his cell phone number.

Emmarae is 5-foot-4 and weighs about 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, and she was last seen wearing black stretch pants and a black shirt.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are heading up the search for Emmarae. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fifth Precinct at 631.854.8500.
