Dirty Taco announces opening months for Smithtown and Port Washington

|

Dirty Taco & Tequila, the family-owned restaurant known for its delicious tacos, is opening soon in the old Green Turtle location in Smithtown.

According to a recent Facebook announcement, the location, which will be the company’s largest, will open its doors in late May. The post also revealed that Dirty Taco & Tequila will be opening another location in Port Washington at the Manhasset Bay Marina, just a month after the Smithtown location opens.

“We have been working hard to enhance our already popular Dirty Taco menu that combines our signature dirty flavors, along with progressive Mexican/Asian influences for our street food and tacos and, of course, we’ll be pouring our famous Bored and Dirty Beer and Signature Dirty Margaritas to wash it all down!” reads the Facebook announcement.

The family-owned restaurant is the brainchild of Tom Cataldo Jr. During his college days in Arizona, he spent many night in Los Angeles, falling deeper and deeper in love with tacos.

Cataldo Jr. and his family would go on to open Dirty Tacos in Wantagh, Rockville Centre, Woodbury and in Patchogue.
