Drew Patrick Spa unveils Radio City toy soldiers for the holidays in Bay Shore

|

Drew Patrick Spa in Bay Shore has a reputation for going all-out when it comes to decorating for the holidays.

The spa on West Main Street is known for its Christmas lights and 14-foot tree, but they wanted to do something extra special to mark 10 years in Bay Shore.

For that, co-owner Drew Allt and the team at Drew Patrick unveiled four enormous toy soldiers that might look familiar to visitors to Radio City Music Hall.

“The toy soldiers were used as props for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for many years, and as recently as 2005,” said Allt.

The Drew Patrick owners actually purchased the 11-feet-tall pieces at a flea market in Massachusetts in 2015. But they needed some refurbishing; then the team decided to wait for the big anniversary.

Now they’re on display for the first time since the Christmas Spectacular. Three of the statues are located outside, while one is standing tall inside, next to the Christmas tree.

And if you take a picture any of the toy soldiers and tag Drew Patrick Spa on Instagram, @drewpatrickspa, you’ll be put in the running for a gift card.

“We love the holiday season at Drew Patrick and enjoy playing Christmas music,” said Allt.

“And creating holiday displays to share the joy.”
