Dunkin’ opens new shop in North Babylon; eight new menu items this spring

You can still say North Babylon runs on Dunkin’ — just not in the spot as it used to.

A brand new Dunkin’ opened this month at 1260 Deer Park Ave., right across the street from the one that shut its doors last year (at 120 Deer Park Ave.).

The new location has been in the works since last summer. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In Dunkin’ menu news, the doughnut and coffee shop chain will have four new offerings this spring. This does not include the triumphant return of the Dunkalatte and three other items.

Dunkin’ is set to phase in the new items in two stages, according to food blogger Markie Devo. Five of the items will hit the menu on March 5; the rest will be added on April 2.

There are the five being added in the first round: Dunkalatte, Pistachio Latter, Ham and Cheese Pretzel Sliders (new), Chicken Bacon Croissant Stuffers and Sweet Black Pepper Seasoned Snackin’ Bacon.

Here are the three additions coming in April: Cotton Candy Specialty Doughnut, Blueberry Sprinkled Munchkins and Spring Munchkins Bucket. All three are new items.
