$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Elmont

|

A $1 million second-prize-winning Powerball ticket was sold at GNP Priyal Corp on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, the New York Lottery announced following Wednesday night’s drawing.

Two other second-prize tickets worth $1 million each were sold in the same drawing at Astoria Fuel & Convenience Store in Astoria and Smokes 4 Less on North Plank Road in Newburgh.

Despite big wins at the $1 million level in New York and other states, no one matched all six numbers in the latest Powerball drawing. Without a jackpot winer, the grand prize climbed past an estimated $1.5 billion for the next drawing on Saturday.

The winning numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were 25, 33, 53, 62, 66 with a Powerball of 17. Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 69, with the red Power Ball drawn from a separate field of 1 to 26.

Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
