LA Fitness continued its rapid expansion on Long Island, opening a Bay Shore location that had previously been Esporta Fitness.
The fitness chain now operates 17 locations across Suffolk and Nassau counties. The new Bay Shore gym is located at 1675 Sunrise Highway.
LA Fitness in 2020 had launched their Esporta Fitness brand to compete with affordable gyms with high customer volume, such as Planet Fitness. Two years later, Esporta Fitness no longer operates on Long Island and LA Fitness is the dominate gym under the company’s umbrella of clubs.
The gym’s amenities include functional training, group classes, group personal training, indoor cycling, racquetball, indoor pool and a whirlpool spa.
British Swim School now offers swim classes at the Bay Shore gym.
LA Fitness in Bay Shore is open seven days a week; Monday to Thursday, from 5 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday, 5 a.m.-9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
