Premium water company Essentia Water donated a water bottle for every clinical or non-clinical Long Island Catholic Health Service employee this month.
That’s 22,000 alkaline waters in total to help keep the workers hydrated during the COVID-19 health crisis.
The donations were made by Essentia’s parent company, Big Geyser, which is a non-alcoholic beverage and snacks distributor based in New York City with an office in Brentwood.
Catholic Health Services’ Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip recently received its waters (picture above).
Additionally, Big Geyser also lent its trucks to help transport much-needed ventilators from hospital to hospital throughout the Catholic Health Services’ system.
“Our physicians, nurses and staff are working incredibly hard to keep our community safe, and our community has responded with an unbelievable show of support,” said Good Samaritan Hospital president, Ruth Hennessy. “We’re especially grateful to Big Geyser COO Jerry Reda for thinking of our staff with this donation and supporting our efforts in the battle against COVID-19.”
