The Bay Shore Historical Society will meet Thursday, November 16th, 2023, at 7:00 pm at the Bay Shore – Brightwaters Public Library (1 South Country Rd., Brightwaters, NY).

Guest Speaker Keith Snedecor will present “Snedecor’s Inn Through The Years”. Keith is a 15th-generation Snedecor whose great, great, great, great grandfather, Eliphalet established Snedecor’s Inn in the mid-nineteenth century. It became a stagecoach stop and attracted many famous and wealthy sportsmen from NY to hunt and fish. Keith will discuss the evolution of Snedecor’s Inn to the current Connetquot River State Park Preserve. Keith is a Friends of Connetquot board member and volunteer.
