The Man, the Myth, the Legend. Andrew, also known as Dman to those who knew him, was a fun-loving guy and the life of the party. Because of his larger-than-life personality, and amazing sense of humor, he had an impact on everyone he met – whether he knew them for 20 years or 5 minutes. He loved his wife, his family, his friends, sports and music. He was a die-hard New York Jets and Atlanta Braves fan and loved the WWE. While he was in college, he even hosted both a Billy Joel radio show and a sports talk radio show.

In 2019, at the young age of 35, Andrew was sadly diagnosed with cardiac angiosarcoma. When he asked how this happens, he was told “extremely bad luck.” He fought valiantly for 2 and a half years, before sadly passing away on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 201 – his favorite holiday.

Angiosarcoma is so rare that only 1 in a million people will be diagnosed each year. Cardiac Angiosarcoma, is even more rare – only 30-40 people in the entire United States are diagnosed each year. Because Angiosarcoma and Cardiac Angiosarcoma are so rare, funding is nearly nonexistent.

The Andrew C DeMarco Foundation was created in Andrew’s honor and to keep his larger-than-life memory alive. We work directly with Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan. Our mission is to raise awareness for Angiosarcoma and increase funding for research. We hope to eventually find a cure, and give hope to future families impacted by this nasty illness.
Brews for Andrew is our second annual brewery event and will be taking place on August 26th. The brewery event is very family friendly – there will be food and raffles. Everyone is welcome!
