It appears everybody still loves Raymond.
So much so, that the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is extending its “Everybody Loves Raymond: Celebrating 30 Years” exhibit through Labor Day, Sept. 6.
Hall of Fame officials tell Greater Long Island that more than 15,000 people have come to see the showcase for the Lynbrook-based sitcom since its opening in late November.
Built around the popular show which ran from 1996 until 2005, the exhibit gives fans a chance to step right into the Barone family’s world. Visitors can walk through recreated sets like the living room and kitchen, surrounded by original props, costumes, and memorabilia from the show.
“People have an emotional attachment to Everybody Loves Raymond,” Ernie Canadeo, the Hall of Fame’s chairman, told GLI. “They see themselves and their families represented in an honest and humorous way, and since the show was based on Long Island, for Long Islanders it is a unique attachment.”

There’s also plenty of behind-the-scenes footage and rare outtakes playing inside the Hall of Fame’s theater.
Canadeo, who is also the executive producer of the exhibit, added “It’s an opportunity to become one with the show. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience people cannot get anywhere else.”
When the exhibit first opened last year, star Ray Romano stopped by for a preview and didn’t hide his reaction.
“This is a super surreal moment in my life,” Romano said. “This is the closest I come to time travel… it’s just a crazy special thing to experience this 20 years later.”
Tickets to the exhibit are on sale on the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame website.
