An expected rainy afternoon in Patchogue has forced the postponement of this Thursday’s Alive After Five street festival.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high chance of showers with a possible thunderstorm beginning after 2 p.m.
The announcement to push back the final AA5 date of the summer was made Wednesday around 4:45 p.m. by the event’s organizer, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.
The new date is set for next Thursday.
“Everything scheduled to take place on Aug. 10, including announced bands, will take place Thursday, Aug. 17,” reads an email blast from the chamber.
