In honor of Valentine’s Day this February, Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is hosting “My Furry Valentine” — an event with free adoptions all month long.
Dogs and cats who are looking for their forever home will be up for adoption with a waived fee for any animal who has been at the shelter for six months or more (dog fees are usually $137, while cats run $140).
The discounted adoption includes free neuters or spays, vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and license.
Located at 300 Horesblock Rd. in Brookhaven, hours are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
