Five more Shake Shacks are coming to Long Island

|

More Shake Shack is on the way to Long Island.

The fast-casual burger chain — known for its Angus beef burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and hand-spun shakes — has several new locations in the works across the Island, with even more expansion happening overseas.

Two drive-thru locations are planned locally: one in Selden at Westfield Center on Middle Country Road, set to open in 2025, and another at 120 Crooked Hill Road in Commack, slated for a 2026 launch.

More 2026 openings are on the horizon, including a Shack at The Shops at SunVet in Holbrook, plus newly announced locations at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead and Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, a Shake Shack spokesperson confirmed to Greater Long Island.

Shake Shack currently operates two Suffolk County locations, in Lake Grove and Melville, as well as Nassau County locations in New Hyde Park, Oceanside, and Westbury.

More expansion

And the growth isn’t stopping at Long Island’s borders. Internationally, Shake Shack just announced a partnership with Grupo Attie-Multifood Enterprises to open 12 locations in Panama by 2035 — marking the brand’s first move into Central America. The first Panama Shack is expected to open in 2026.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to expand into Panama, our first stop in Central America,” said Michael Kark, Shake Shack’s President of Global Licensing. “ Grupo Attie-Multifood Enterprises shares our values of quality, hospitality, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.”
