Free concert: Buoy 34 at The Common Ground in Sayville tonight

|

Irish pub and Celtic Rock. Southern and classic rock. And, of course, the blues.

You can’t go wrong tonight with Sayville’s next installment of its free summer concert series. The Sayville-based acoustic band Buoy 34 performs its unique sound at 7 p.m. at The Common Ground at Rotary Park.

Buoy 34 employs an array of instruments in its performances, including banjos, guitars, the violin and fiddle, a tin whistle, cajon, drums and percussion, the harmonica, and the flute and brass.

Combined with the group’s vocals and blended harmonies results in what fans have called “a different kind of musical experience.”

No rain in the forecast tonight.

Remaining performances in Sayville’s free summer concert series:

Aug. 21: Captain Jack, a Billy Joel tribute band.

Aug. 28: Stanton Anderson Band, playing an original blend of rock, blues, R&B and soul.

The Common Ground at Rotary Park is located between Candee and Gillette avenues in Sayville. For cancellations, schedule changes and other information, visit thecommonground.com.
