Friends for Life celebrates opening of new location in Babylon

|

Friends for Life Homecare just got a big welcome to Babylon Village.

The company, which opened its doors at 99 Deer Park Avenue in March, held a grand opening celebration this Wednesday.

“We’re so happy to be here,” Friends for Life founder Amy Recco told the crowd during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Were going to be here for a long time.”

This is Recco’s third location — her first two storefronts are in Massapequa and Massapequa Park.

“I have a wonderful staff,” she said of her expansion. “That’s why we are able to help the number of people that we help every day.”

Friends for Life, which offers home care services to the elderly, received warm welcomes from the village.

“This is long overdue,” said Kelly Peckholdt, president of the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce. “Thank you so much for being active chamber members, and being involved, we are happy to have you here.”

Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino added: “Babylon Village is a great village and we’re happy you are joining us.”

The office of Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey and the Town of Babylon both gave the business proclamations for its new venture.

“We are here to help in the town and everybody in it — whatever they need us, no matter what it is,” said Recco.
