This past weekend’s historic cold snap might have been uncomfortable for Long Islanders, but it led to some pretty cool scenic photos and videos.
FireIslandandBeyond.com publisher and photographer Michael Busch trekked into the single digit weather over the weekend to capture one-of-a-kind shots of the slushy waterways.
“The scene was something I have never seen or heard before,” said Busch, “I lost feeling in my fingers several times and had to regroup in my truck several times to recover.”
Busch wasn’t the only local photographer to venture out into the cold.
