Golf Lounge 18 has opened its doors at its first Long Island outpost, the Connecticut-born company’s ninth spot in the Northeast.
The indoor golf concept blends state-of-the-art simulators with a full bar and kitchen in a prime courtyard spot at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove — next to Cheesecake Factory and across from Dick’s.
The team says it’s more than just golf — it’s a place to eat, drink, hang out, compete and celebrate.
Golf Lounge 18 Lake Grove opened Aug. 29 and they hit the ground running with month-long parties, with many celebrating Long Island and the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
“The Ryder Cup Volunteer Appreciation Party takeover [Friday, Sept. 12] sold out in two days,” said Paul Wilson, of Golf Lounge 18.

Grand opening bash
To celebrate its arrival, Golf Lounge 18 Lake Grove hosted an official grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 20, with live music, contests with hourly prizes and food and drinks flowing all night. It all happened just days before the Ryder Cup lands at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale — the first time Long Island will host golf’s biggest international event.
Golf Lounge 18 also held watch parties for Ryder Cup week.
Great eats
Beyond golf, the Lake Grove location is serving a full food and drink menu.
Highlights include flatbreads, quesadillas, wings, and shareables like nachos and pretzel bites — the kind of menu built for groups hanging out between swings.
Behind the bar, you’ll find craft beer, cocktails, and plenty of non-alcoholic options.
If you go
Golf Lounge 18 is designed to be “for everyone,” from seasoned golfers to complete beginners. Clubs are provided, or guests can bring their own. Bays can be rented by the hour, and each simulator fits up to six people. The Smith Haven Mall location is open seven days a week, and reservations are recommended, especially during big golf events like the Ryder Cup.
