A new golf simulator lounge with food and drinks is coming to West Babylon later this year.
Fore & Pour Golf Lounge is expected to open in October or November at 1017 Montauk Highway in the Great South Bay Shopping Center, according to co-owner Will Bergersen.
The 7,000-square-foot venue will combine high-tech golf simulators with a full bar and food menu, creating what the owners hope will become a new entertainment destination on the South Shore.
“There’s not another establishment within a 10-mile radius that’s doing anything close to what we’re building,” Bergersen told Greater Long Island.
Bergersen is partnering with Fabio Gambino, whose family has owned nearby Alitalia Pizzeria & Restaurant since 2007. The longtime neighborhood restaurant has operated in the shopping center for more than 35 years.
Gambino said the location made sense because of its proximity to his family’s business.

“It made way too much sense with the proximity to my family’s restaurant,” he said.
The new concept will feature several state-of-the-art golf simulators where guests can play virtual rounds while ordering craft cocktails and food.
The menu will include elevated bar fare such as burgers and chicken sandwiches, along with Italian dishes prepared with help from Alitalia’s kitchen next door.
“We’re trying to be a little innovative, a little different, and theme everything around Long Island golf courses and other landmarks,” Gambino said.

The project also fills a large storefront that has sat mostly vacant for about four years.
Bergersen and Gambino, both Long Island natives, say they hope the venue will appeal to serious golfers, beginners and visitors simply looking for a night out.
“This community needs what we’re building,” Bergersen said. “It was the perfect opportunity at the right moment.”
