The brother-and-sister team that launched Babylon’s Swell Taco in June 2012 have officially opened their second Mexican restaurant on the South Shore.
The newest Swell Taco opened quietly Monday in Patchogue Village.
This time, Southern California transplants Brooke Jankow and Steve Zoerner have partnered with their longtime manager in Babylon, Tiffany Amador.
“For us, [Patchogue] is another really cool place with that seaside, South Shore community vibe,” Jankow previously told GreaterBabyon.
Swell Taco super fan John Murray, who owns the Kilwins chocolate shops in both Babylon and Patchogue, said he couldn’t be happier having the Swell crew as neighbors in both villages.
“Swell Taco means high quality Mexican food that’s reasonably priced,” Murray said. “Beyond that, they are some of the best people I know. I feel like I am on vacation every time I am there. Welcome my friends. One love.”
