Main Street (looking west): The tall, dark building near the right, with American flag, was the old Town Hall building. The short building to the right of that was the original First National Bank of Islip (see page 2). To the left of old Town Hall is the corner of Main Street and Locust Avenue. On the northwest corner is the building that today houses the Treme blues & jazz club.

The photo was likely taken sometime in the 1930s, judging by the look of the cars.
