William E. DeLuca Elementary School 5th grader Anthony Barile has been selected as the 2017 recipient of the school’s “Be Victorious” award.
The award is presented annually to one student who epitomizes the spirit and ideals of former North Babylon School District social worker Victoria Vega Stamler, who lost her battle to cancer in 2015.
Barile will be presented with the award during the school’s upcoming fifth-grade moving up ceremony. His name has also been engraved on the “Be Victorious” plaque that hangs in the school lobby.
