The Bellport St. Patrick’s Day Parade made its long-awaited return this Saturday.
The event, on hiatus since 2020 due to the pandemic, stepped off at 11 a.m., just before the rain rolled in, and marched through downtown Bellport.
Led by the Bellport Fire Department, the parade began at the corner of Station Road and 2nd Street and wrapped up at the village’s four corners.
This year’s grand marshal was former Bellport Mayor and current chaplain, Frank Trotta.
The celebration also marked the final St. Patrick’s Day parade of the season on Long Island.
GLI photographer Eric Micallef was there to capture the day.
