Great South Bay Brewery to offer special brew at Bethpage Ballpark starting Friday

|

The Long Island Ducks have teamed up with Bay Shore’s Great South Bay Brewery of Bay Shore to create a new, private labeled beer called “Duck Tail Ale” to be served at Bethpage Ballpark.

The American-style golden ale, with a 4.8% ABV, uses a mixture of malts and hops to give it a light taste with a proper amount of bitterness, according to a Ducks media release.

The beer will be produced in Bay Shore at Great South Bay Brewery, delivered to the ball field by Long Island’s Clare Rose Distributors, Inc., and served cold to fans all-season long, the release reads.

“Because of our Long Island roots it made a lot of sense for us to collaborate on a project,” said Great South Bay Brewery’s operations manager, Brian Davis. “We worked together on the artwork and it’s going to be special to both us and the [Ducks].”

The 2017 Ducks home opener is Friday, April 28 at 6:35 pm vs. the New Britain Bees.
