The old greaterbayshore.com was accepted into Google News in 2016, but that changed when the site was redesigned and moved to a new domain through greaterlongisland.com.
But we’re back.
“Nowadays, people’s lives and their inbox’s are being flooded with horror stories about people trying to destroy themselves or their communities,” said Michael White, editorial director of all the Greater news websites. “So we feel our brand of news delivers a bit of a balance.”

ALL ABOUT US
GreaterBayShore seeks to be the premier community information resource for Bay Shore, Brightwaters and the surrounding hamlets from Robert Moses Causeway to Heckscher State Parkway.
This is a daily news website that has a magazine-style feel, with a focus on quality writing and storytelling. The emphasis here is on features and community news — as opposed to crime and politics.
