The UK-based fitness apparel company Gymshark has officially opened its first physical U.S. location — and it’s right here on Long Island, at Roosevelt Field Mall.
“We’re bringing our latest drops to Long Island’s greatest mall, so you can finally try them on for perfect size,” the company announced on its website.
The store opened to major fanfare in October, with lines wrapping around the mall for launch weekend. It’s located on the main level between Zara and Aritzia.
On LinkedIn, Gymshark celebrated the outpouring of support from its fans:
“Our community came in strong, with the first people arriving the night before to be the first in line. We appreciate everyone who came to show support and we hope you had the best time.”
Founded in 2012 in Birmingham, England, Gymshark began as a small garage startup by teenager Ben Francis, who hand-printed logos on fitness gear. The brand has since grown into a global powerhouse with millions of followers and athletes representing its apparel worldwide.
According to reports, Gymshark’s next New York location is expected to open on Bond Street in the NoHo area of Manhattan. Read more here.
