Halloween restaurants worth the trip
Here are some restaurants and bars where the Halloween atmosphere itself is a big reason to go.
Haunted House of Hamburgers โ Farmingdale
Haunted House of Hamburgers is probably the most obvious family pick because Halloween is its entire identity. Expect immersive decorations, themed menu items, desserts and spooky drinks rather than a standard restaurant with seasonal decorations.
Witches Brew Coffee House โ West Hempstead
Witches Brew Coffee House is a longtime Long Island favorite, particularly spooky season. The dark, witchy coffeehouse feels like Halloween throughout the year, with vintage furniture, gothic touches, specialty coffees and teas, desserts and vegetarian and vegan comfort food. Treat this as a destination, rather than a quick coffee stop.
Necromantic Brew Co. โ Farmingdale
Necromantic Brew Co is the grown-up horror-fan counterpart. Horror memorabilia, spooky dรฉcor, horror movies and rotating themed programming give the brewery Halloween energy throughout the year.
Bull Smithโs Tavern โ Smithtown
The restaurant goes considerably further for October 2026 with the Witchcraft Halloween Pop-Up, adding immersive witch-themed dรฉcor, characters, entertainment, food, cocktails and photo opportunities.
O-Co-Nee East Diner โ East Islip
The O-Co-Nee East Diner is widely recognized as one of Long Island’s most festive spots, transforming with elaborate, wall-to-wall seasonal setups that feature spooky skeletons, giant spider webs, pumpkins, lights and so much more.

Bayville Scream Park
Place:ย Bayville Scream Park, Bayville
Season:ย Sept. 18โNov. 7

More to come
Many Long Island restaurants donโt announce their Halloween menus, brunches, costume parties and cocktail specials until the first or second week of October.
Restaurants and nightlife districts in Patchogue, Huntington, Bay Shore, Farmingdale, Rockville Centre and Port Jefferson are prime spots for hosting Halloween and fall-related events.
If you see an event or come across a Halloween-themed restaurant thst you think should be included here, shoot us a note at [email protected].
