Suffolk County’s field hockey champs from this fall have added another feather to their cap.
A dozen girls from Harborfields’ historic championship season were named to the 2021 National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
In order to get on the list, student-athletes must have a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
Harborfields this fall captured Suffolk’s “B” division with a win over East Islip in the title game. The girls fell short to Garden city in the Long Island championship.
