Local restaurant owners are asking the public to consider curbside takeout due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 health crisis.
Earlier this week, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced statewide measures to shrink crowd sizes by upending sit-down dining in bars and restaurants, while also closing movie theaters and gyms.
While dining is closed, many local eateries are offering to-go and delivery meals and drink packages.
GreaterBayShore took to social media to ask the local restaurants what they’re offering for people who still want to support small businesses, and who may not want to stay inside and cook.
Here’s a list of some of the offers you can get delivered through takeout and via curbside pickup.

Salt & Barrel: 61 W. Main St, Bay Shore
Salt & Barrel is offering 15% off all curbside orders.
The Lakehouse: 135 Maple Ave, Bay Shore
The Lakehouse has a special catering menu and collected orders today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers can pick up their food curbside this Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Southside Bar & Restaurant: 5 Third Ave, Bay Shore / Maxwell’s 501 Main St, Islip
For every $25 spent, patrons will receive a free kids meal at Southside Bar & Restaurant and at Maxwell’s in Islip
TJ Finley’s: 42 E. Main St, Bay Shore
You can 50% off alcohol to go from TJ Finley’s.
Bango Bowls: 68 E. Main St, Bay Shore
Bango Bowls is taking orders for pick up and delivery by phone and online. The acai bowl spot is offering 10% off all orders through their website.
The Penny Pub: 79 W. Main St, Bay Shore
The Penny Pub is still open and will be open for pickups from noon to 3 a.m.
ITA Kitchen: 45 Main St. Bay Shore
The Italian restaurant on Main Street is offering home delivery, take-out, and curbside delivery for orders through Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Grub Hub. The eatery is also selling wine, beer, and alcohol to-go, as well as family-style packages. Their new hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
AJ’s Grilled Cheese: 182 W. Montauk Hwy, Bay Shore
AJ’s is still serving up its grilled cheeses. To order visit ajsgrilledcheese.com or call 631-647-9292.
Napper Tandy’s: 60 E. Main St. Bay Shore
The Irish bar is providing alcohol-to-go and curbside pickup.
Corks and Taps: 53 W. Main St. Bay Shore
You can order take-out and free delivery from Corks and Taps Monday through Sunday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Slice of Bay Shore: 298 Montauk Hwy, Bay Shore
Customers can grab take-out or get delivery for free through the pizza place. They are also offering delivery services through Grubhub, DoorDash, and UberEats. The Slice is selling homemade pizza kits for $10.
Coastal Kitchen and Daiquiri Bar: 12 E. Main St, Bay Shore
Coastal is offering 15% off all take-out orders and free delivery.
All men and women in uniform (includes police officers, firemen and firewomen, military, nurses, doctors, and everyone working in emergency services fields) receive 20% off their order.
Their to-go menu includes $3 craft beers, $5 craft cocktails, and $6 rum punches.
Verde Kitchen & Cocktails: 70 E. Main St, Bay Shore
Verde Kitchen is offering take-out menu deals and gift card specials. Call or email in an order for 15% off.
Henley’s Village Tavern: 184 Orinoco Dr, Brightwaters
Henley’s is providing curbside take-out. The eatery is also offering delivery to Brightwaters Village, Bay Shore, and West Islip residents only. They are accepting cash payments or over the phone.
10% off all orders from Brightwaters Village and Town of Islip residents.
Bay Shore Bean: 47 E. Main St, Bay Shore
Coffee lovers can still enjoy Bay Shore Bean through their pickup window and online delivery via DoorDash. They are open every day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Men and women in uniform receive 10% off their orders.
J&R’s Islip Steakhouse: 116 Main St, Islip
The steakhouse is taking pickup orders through ChowNow and delivery through DoorDash.
Sea Levels Restaurant: 391 North Windsor Ave, Brightwaters
Sea Levels will be offering take-out services.
Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks Food Truck: 1851 Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore
The food truck is extending operations from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Delivery will be available through UberEats.
The Tap Room: 44-46 Main St, Bay Shore
Customers can call The Tap Room ahead of time for ordering and when they’re are parked in front of the restaurant for curbside pickup.
Johnny Rockets at Tanger Mall: 1002 The Arches Circle, Deer Park
The burger franchise is offering take-out and delivery through UberEats. They are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
KC’s Pizza N’Wings: 871 Connetquot Ave, Islip Terrace
The pizza and wings spot is offering take-out and delivery Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Fire Island Vines: 17 E. Main St, Bay Shore
The new winery and taproom on Main Street is open Thursday through Sunday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., for take-out. Call in and pick up an order from their Greek menu. Bottles of wine starting at $14 and local beer for $3.
Dang BBQ: 174 Islip Ave, Islip
Dang BBQ will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for curbside pickup and delivery, through DoorDash and GrubHub.
