Long Island’s summer staples are getting ready to make their return.
From Fire Island institutions to waterfront hangouts across the South and North shores, many of the region’s most popular seasonal spots are beginning to announce opening dates for the 2026 season — with several returning right around their usual spring and Memorial Day timelines.
Here’s a look at when some of your favorite warm-weather destinations are expected to reopen.
We’ll keep updating this list as more dates are confirmed.
Note: This list focuses on seasonal establishments that close during the off-season and reopen each spring.
Salt Shack Seaside Grill
Cedar Beach, Babylon
Opens Friday, May 1, right on the ocean beach. Keep tabs with the Salt Shack Live Cam.

Flo’s Luncheonette
Blue Point
Opened April 11 at 302 Middle Road, just north of Corey Beach.

Lily’s Seaside
East Moriches
The waterfront dining destination at Silly Lily Fishing Station, a full-service marina, typically reopens to the public the Friday of Memorial Day weekend (which would be May 22) but no official date has been announced yet. In addition to dining and craft cocktails, the marina offers boat rentals for fishing, beach outings, and clamming.
Nicky’s on the Bay
Bay Shore
Nicky’s opens Friday, May 1, at 4 p.m. The address is 150 S. Clinton St., Bay Shore, at the foot of the Bay Shore Marina.

Flynn’s Fire Island
Ocean Bay Park
The family-owned seafood restaurant known for its fun summer party scene at 1 Cayuga Street in Ocean Bay Park is set to open Memorial Day weekend, which in 2026 starts Friday, May 22. Click here for the full Flynn’s event calendar.
Amalfi Coastal Kitchen
Hampton Bays
The Hampton Bays restaurant, known for its panoramic views of Shinnecock Bay and its Amalfi Coast-inspired vibes, is returning for its second summer season on April 23.

Sand Castle on the Ocean
Cherry Grove
One of just two Fire Island spots on the Atlantic Ocean. Opening weekend happens May 8 to May 10.
Little Fish
Kenny’s Beach, Southold
Little Fish entered its fourth season at Kenny’s Beach starting Friday, April 3, and is now open for dinner hours.

Cooper Bluff
Oyster Bay
The only waterfront bar in Oyster Bay has circled May 1 as its opening date. Keep an eye on their Instagram feed for event updates.

The Casino Cafe & Bar
Davis Park
One of Fire Island’s only two oceanfront restaurant typically kicks off its season in early May highlighted by a big Kentucky Derby party. This year the Derby happens on Saturday, May 2. Click here for updated information.

Dublin Deck
Patchogue River
The Deck’s opening date for summer 2026 is all set for Friday, May 1, according to its Facebook page.

Nicky’s Clam Bar
Bay Shore
The Clam Bar already opened for the 2026 season on March 1 at 11 a.m. at the Fire Island Ferries terminal.

Dive
Fire Island
The Kismet restaurant, which serves craft cocktails alongside an elevated menu with a raw bar, begins its sixth season on Saturday, May 2. Click here for the May schedule of events, posted to Instagram.

John Scott’s Surf Shack
Westhampton Beach
This chill restaurant that is a stone’s throw away from Cupsogue Beach wrote on social media in late October that they’d be back open in May, though no exact date has yet been announced publicly. Click here for Facebook updates.

This Hamptons seafood spot is now open for its 45th season on Friday, April 17, according to this Instagram post.
Surf Shack Flip Flop Coastal Kitchen

Dirty Taco
Manhasset Bay Marina, Port Washington
Reopens for its fourth year on the water this May or late April, judging by past year. No announcement yet but follow here.

East Quogue
The doors open for summer 2026 on Friday, April 24, according to the Dockers Waterside website.

Kingston’s Clam Bar
West Sayville
This staple bayside seafood restaurant known for its lobster rolls typically opens in late April or early May through September.
