Selden man, 26, killed after vehicle hits tree, overturns in Holbrook

Matthew Schneider, 26, was found by a passing motorist more than two hours after the early-morning crash on Express Drive South

A Selden man was killed early Tuesday when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned in Holbrook, police said.

Matthew Schneider, 26, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Express eastb on Express Drive South, near Maple Avenue, about 3:10 a.m. when the vehicle left the road, authorities said.

A passing motorist called 911 at 5:28 a.m. Schneider was pronounced dead at the scene.
