A Huntington Station man was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs drugs after a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Holbrook, police said.
Robert Krumm, 24, of Holtsville was riding a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle south on Nicolls Road, between Greenbelt Parkway and Sunrise Highway, when he collided with a southbound 2023 Tesla about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Krumm was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
The Tesla driver, Huntington Station 37-year-old Bertie Simeon was not hurt, cops said. He pleaded not guilty at Suffolk First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday to misdemeanor DWAI/Drugs, police said.
Both vehicles involved in the crash were impounded for safety checks.
